In summer 2022 I went to sea aboard R/V Atlantis for the science verification expedition -- where the submersible Alvin, newly certified to dive to 6500 meters, was tested for its ability to do science at depth.  My role was as artist-at-sea, working on my book DIVING FOR DEEP-SEA DRAGONS (Chronicle, 2024), and adding to the library of I Was A Kid profiles with STEAM professionals involved in our expedition. I added four. You can see them here, along with the "baseball card" comics of a number of the ship, science, and Alvin crew who took part our our expedition.
